Thanks, Philip

Philip literally gave me my first break in publishing, allowing my little newly-formed publishing company to occupy some spare office space in the Kogan Page offices at Pentonville Road at a peppercorn rent. If I solicited advice, he gave it freely and wisely. He was always right. He cut through nonsense. He was a laugh! Mischievous yet serious, irreverent and always genuinely interested in raising everyone up together. Bright to the point where he could illuminate the solution to most problems, just like that. Thanks for everything, old friend, if I may. I miss those times, and I'll miss you.
